Revival In America
The Lord Jesus gave me a prophetic word, in three parts:
In 2017 I saw, in the spirit, a large wave crash against a local church. Initially I thought that this word was for a local church we served in in Charlottesville, Virginia called Iglesia RevoluZion. But later I realized that this wave was coming to the Church at large. When the wave splashed against the church it filled the building completely and poured, as streams, into the major mountains of influence in the community. The mountains of education and business and more were visited by these rivers, these streams that came from the wave. The Wave and The River, the very Streams, are all Jesus Himself.
The second part of God's message concerning revival coming to the Church of America came directly through the Word of God. In 2nd Kings 4:8-37 we read the story of Elisha and the Shunammite Woman. During Elisha's travels Shunem a wealthy woman offered him some food to eat. He obliged and eventually left. His traveling caused the prophet to frequent this area and each time he was seen food was offered by the Shunammite. One day she spoke with her husband and urged him to make a special room with her for the prophet so that when he comes he will have a place to stay for she discerned that he was "a holy man of God". As Elisha stayed in this new room and ate food from the couple he offered, through his servant Gehazi, his service to them. What could he do in return for them? Possibly speak to the governing authorities on their behalf? But the Shunammite woman spoke up and said that they lived among there own people and that there was no need for that. Gehazi noticed that her husband was old and that they did not have any children. So the prophet Elisha prophesied saying, "At this season, about this time next year, you shall embrace a son". The woman could barely believe her ears and pleaded with the prophet not to lie to her. But sure enough, the woman conceived and brought forth a son. In time the baby grew into a boy. One day while he was working he complained to his father of his head hurting. Being sent home with his mother the boy lied down in his mother's lap and eventually died. The mother laid him on the prophet's bed, the one they prepared for him whenever he would come through town and she sent for the prophet. Elisha initially just sent his staff by Gehazi and instructed him to touch the boys face with it. But nothing happened. When Elisha arrived and saw the young boy dead he shut the door and began to pray. He then laid on top of the boy, putting his mouth on the boy's mouth, his eyes on the boy's eyes and his hands in the boy's hands. And the Bible says, "...as he stretched himself upon him, the flesh of the child became warm". Elisha then got up from the boy, paced the floor once more then returned to laying on top of him just as he did before, hands in hands, eyes in eyes, mouth on mouth. This time the boy sneezed seven times and then opened his eyes. He had been brought back to life! His mother, being sent for by Gehazi, entered the room and received her son.
The prophetic significance of this passage of Scripture, particularly as it pertains to revival in America is this: Through this prophetic word Elisha represents our King Jesus! The boy represents the Church of America that, in many ways, desperately needs to be revived and resuscitated. Jesus is about to come upon His Church in fullness! He is about to come upon His Bride in a way that will fully revive her for the tasks at hand. He is going to place His mouth on her mouth, His eyes on her eyes and His hands in her hands. Jesus placing His mouth upon the Bride's speaks of Him putting His Word and Breath within her. She will speak His Words through the life He has given already on the cross. She will be empowered to do this! Jesus is going to place His eyes on her eyes. This will enable to Bride to see in ways she could never have imagined; to see as the Master sees and with such great distance, perspective and scope. And lastly, Jesus is going to place His hands in her hands. This signifies intimacy between Us the Bride and our King. We will walk hand in hand. How can two walk together unless they agree (Amos 3:3)? On many occasion Jesus has held the hand of the one He wants to lead and guide and whom He wants to be known more intimately by. Asaph's hand was held by the Lord in Psalm 73:23 as he said, "Nevertheless I am continually with You, You hold me by my right hand". God also took hold of King Cyrus' hand in Isaiah 45:1, "Thus says the LORD to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held - to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut". There is a level of intimacy with the Lord that the Church is about to experience that will surpass anything she has ever felt or known before!
The third part of the prophetic word speaks from Hebrews 12:14 saying, "Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord." This passage of Scripture, as a word of the Lord, has a twofold meaning. First, those believers who do not have holiness in operation in their lives will not be able to perceive the Lord as they should. Secondly, those among us cannot tell that we are of God without some degree of peace and holiness at work in our lives. In order to see Jesus clearly we must walk in holiness. We must actually pursue it or we will not be able to see Him. And if we do not pursue such peace and do not demonstrate such holiness the world will not see Him in us and through us!
The next move of God in America will place a high premium on peace and holiness in operation in our lives as believers!
