Revival In America pt. 2
Written in Sitka, Alaska in the summer of 2019.
Recently the Lord has been using the Nile River to speak to me about what He is currently doing in the earth right now. There is a worship movement sweeping the planet where God’s children are uniting just to see the Master and to worship Him.
The Nile River is the
longest river in the world. It is an international river that crosses at least
11 countries; countries like Uganda where there are forty or more languages
spoken. The Nile is made great by two tributaries that confluence; the White
Nile and the Blue Nile. The White Nile is the headwaters of the stream.
The Master began to speak
to me of the Nile’s symbolism and of the picture it presents concerning a new
worship movement that
is sweeping the globe. The length of the Nile
speaks of its outreach. This new move of God is far reaching. It is currently
crossing international boundaries, pouring into a variety of countries, as well
as interdenominational, knocking through territorial walls that, in the past,
have divided us. Right now children of God from all walks of life are finding
themselves singing the same songs on Sunday morning. The tributaries that flow
into the Great Nile are significant. The White Nile speaks of purity, holiness
and intimacy as with a bride dressed in white. The Blue Nile speaks of
revelation, heavenly encounter, and the Presence of God as when Moses, Aaron,
his two sons and seventy elders of Israel encountered God on the mountain
standing on the sapphire pavement (Exodus 24:9-11). The conflux or place of
convergence where these two rivers meet is the Church. It is also important to
note that the White Nile comes first. This speaks of purity and holiness being
preeminent right now. The eleven nations it passes through speaks of
transition. Ten is the number of the law and of scales being weighed. It is
representative of the Ten Commandments and a standard being laid. Twelve is the
number of God’s government. God established His nation with twelve tribes.
Jesus established His Church with twelve disciples. In between these two positions
is the number eleven which speaks of transition or crossing over. In Deuteronomy
11:11 this concept of “crossing over” is plainly seen:
“But
the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of
mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven.”
This means that the
Church at large is being afforded an opportunity by God’s grace to cross over
into the worshipping of Jesus in a way that I believe, could be unprecedented.
Isaiah 33:17 says, “Your
eyes will see the King in all His splendor, and you will see a land that
stretches into the distance” (NIV)
The NIrV puts it this
way, “People of Judah, you will see the King in all His glory and majesty. You
will view His Kingdom spreading far and wide.”
Both verses tell us that
there are a people who will see the King in ALL His splendor, in ALL His glory
and in ALL His majesty. Some translations say in all of His “beauty”. I love
the fact that we are invited to see, not some, but ALL of the glory of the
King. Judah speaks of praise and I believe it is those who praise and worship
the King who will see all of who He is: Majestic, Glorious, Beautiful,
Splendid. The Lord’s reach is spreading far and wide. His Kingdom is advancing.
The knowledge of the glory of the Lord is filling the earth! (Habakkuk 2:14)
Those who love Jesus and
worship Him perceive Him. We will see the Master in all His majesty. We were
made to worship Him. We were set free from darkness and the weight of our
chains to be His lovers; not lovers of pleasure but lovers of God (2nd
Timothy 3:1-5). When God sent Moses to Pharaoh he commanded him to say, “Let My
people go that they may worship Me”. He has delivered us from the power of
darkness and conveyed us, transferred us, into the Kingdom of the Son of His
Love (Colossians 1:13, Exodus 8:1).
Now is the time to accept
His invitation and love Him as never before. Now is the time to grow “in the
knowledge of Him”. This is the hour where we receive the spirit of wisdom and
revelation in order that we may know Him better! Now is the time to respond to
His voice without hesitation, eager to fulfill His heart’s desire; to love our
Groom as no other Bride could. Let us not make Him wait to be served. May we
awake from our slumber when He calls, arise from our bed and let the King of
Glory in!
